New Options

With the new design of our gas dividers, some important option is now available :

- Electronic control of the input pressures with a PID logic that keeps available (with PW autorization) all the internal parameters. 

The span gas differential pressure set point and his ratio with the diluting gas pressure [P(Tg1)-P(Out)] / [P(Tg0)-P(Out)] are freely adjustable and the stability of the control is impressive.  Differently from mechanical pressure regulation, there is no pressure drop when the gas flow increase.

Selection unit for up to 5 span gas cylinders : this option is just available for the rack version  (BetaCAP30RK), where more space is available.  We suggest this option just for remote operation with PC software : in this case, test procedures to test different components may be chained to provide full tests of multi-components systems without personnel time requirement.

10 isolated analog inlets are available on terminal board to receive the measuring signals from the gas analysis system : two inlet at a time will be acquired for each selected test gas.

An RS485 with AK protocol allows controlling the gas divider by remote with a custom program (without InfoCAP30 software).

Following some Customer suggestion, we did recently revise the BetaCAP30 series project .

 

We did not touch the most appre-ciated details, than the capillaries bench and the overall size but we did update the following points :

 

- The electronic circuit has been redesigned using a more powerful microcontroller offering much more program  memory, more interface pins, higher speed, higher A/D converters resolution.

- The pressure sensors has been changed : no more differential pressure sensors connected by tubes, but relative pressure sensors inbuilt in the capillaries manifold with the surface in touch with the gas made by steel AISI316L.  Now the gas divider  measure the two inlet pressures, outlet pressure, barometric pressure and internal temperature and we also acquire three signals (measuring signals from gas analyzers) with an isolated interface.

 

The result of those modifications (redesigning the firmare) is very important :

- the pressures (span gas pressure, diluting gas pressure, output diluted gas pressure, barometric pressure) are now indicated in hPa with 4 digits (±1 mBar) and the resolution of the analog inlets is also improved.

- the ratio between the two inlets differential pressures is displayed to easily allow the compensation of input gases different viscosities (just in case of highly concentrated gases)

- The menus has been redesigned with more functions and password protected parameters settings for internal calibrations.  The calculation of output diluted concentration now takes into account the case where the span gas is also included in the diluting gas,

- The calculation of the output diluted concentration, now may be corrected to neutralize the small errors indicated in the metrological certificate
