Capillaries based gas dividers

Accuracy in the capillaries selection process attributes to the gas divider the main performance: the low dilution rate uncertainty.

The choice to select identical capillaries move the method from comparing the flows to a referable standard flow into matching the capillaries by comparing their flows reciprocally.

The measuring system will continue to read a narrow band of values and may easily give very high performances.

The certification through referable measurements may be applied to the end product confirming the good capillaries matching

Gas blenders with Mass Flow Controllers (MFCs)

We are handling two different projects focused on the opportunity to calibrate frequently the MFCs at a low cost: In fact MFCs are subject to more sensitive drifts than capillaries.   Working in non optimal environments, the set-up of the device could have a life shorter than the metrological certification.

Anymore, the performances flexibility of MFCs is their strength's point: dilution rates may be set continuously, even if the MFCs utilisation loses accuracy moving to the lower side of the ranges.

Company history

Be.T.A. Strumentazione activity starts in the year 2001 supplying services (design, start-up and maintenance for analytical systems).  To improve the services quality and to comply with in force norms, we have built  our first gas divider.

The appreciation and encouragement received pushed us to produce some gas blender  for the first estimators: now this is the core business of the company.

Mission

In this life stage, new gas blenders design is our more strategic interest : we are finalising some promising idea holding firm some principles.

-     nothing must be done just because…other people does it.  Every choice, particularly at the first design stage, is done with the purpose of satisfying specific customer needs, also considering costs implication;

-     to reach the best product industrialization : a small design cost increase behaves to significant advantages building and testing the device, and for the customer too using and servicing it.

-     to assure that the best metrological performances are maintained long time : we do that by means of a special care in components selection and  by self test procedures;

-     the mechanic construction must be suitable to the repeated transports and to operation in difficult environmental conditions;

-     the materials in touch with the gases to be diluted are selected in a way to allow  blending a wide number of gaseous components, including acids and solvents;

-     all of our blenders may or must be interfaced to PC : software packages are characterised by power of the functions, flexibility and operation simplicity. Test cycles automation keeps free the user during the tests procedures.
